Nintendo 3DS

If you haven’t already heard, the most exciting event of 2011 will be the launch of Nintendo’s new handheld, the 3DS. This device is truly amazing. It’s super awesome mega feature is that it allows you to play games in 3D without wearing glasses. It does this by putting the material that is usually on the glasses over the screen, making the 3D effect before it gets to your face. It works a treat, but that is just the start. The handheld also has a 3D camera, that allows you to take photos of your friends or the world around you in 3D. When you scroll them they pop out of the screen at you: it’s fun to try things like sticking your tongue out just to get a laugh. Naturally the 3DS is also more powerful for better graphics, has better and brighter screens, plus it will still be touch sensitive and read your movements (like tilting). This thing is going to rule! An official release date has yet to be announced, but we know that it is coming sometime in March. We will be following it all the way through to launch. Nintendo are holding a big press conference shortly, and they will be showing off a lot of the games expected to be available around the launch of the handheld. Check out the list below and starting working on your chores so you can get in your mum and dad’s good books!
