Venom Colour Changing LED Stand
The PS5, Switch and XSX consoles aren’t that great to look at, but you can make them sexier with some cool accessories. This includes the Venom Colour Changing LED Stand. You stand your console in it vertically – horizontally doesn’t work – then plug it into a USB port. When you power on the console, the stand will throw a cool LED light on it, making it glow in the dark. There are 7 different colours, and you can have it set to pulse, solid or alternating modes. Pretty neat.

Orbic Tab8 4G
This Android tablet from Orbic caught our eye thanks to its super cheap price. It’s just $149 when bought alongside a Telstra prepaid mobile plan. But it’s still got some great features. This includes the 8” HD screen, a big battery with lots of life, a QualComm 680 2.4GHz CPU and a water-resistant design. It’s also good to see voice and Wi-Fi support in a tablet this price. Not to mention 13MP back, and 5MP front, cameras. Good bang for buck if you want to consume content and play games.

GoPro Hero 11 Black
Four new versions of the GoPro have landed, led by the GoPro Hero 11 Black. The look is the same, but inside there are some big improvements. A larger 1/1.9” sensor delivers 10-bit colour depth, a larger vertical field-of-view, an increase from 23 to 27MPs, and 5.3L resolution at 60fps. It’s a real step up and makes a big difference, helped by improvements to the wide-angle HyperView and image stabilising HyperSmooth AIs. The longer-lasting, faster-charging Enduro batteries are now in all the cameras, too. Epic.

Kindle
If you love to read, then the new, 11th generation Kindle should be of interest. It’s not a revolution, but a strong evolution of the digital book reading experience. The new, 6” high-resolution screen now provides a print-quality 300dpi resolution. It’s also much easier to charge thanks to a USB-C port, plus the battery last longer – up to six weeks. It’s lighter, too, yet has double the storage at 16GB to hold even more books. A winner at $179!

STM Dux Backpack
If you’re looking for a way to safely and comfortably move your technology around, the new Dux Backpack from STM is amazing. It’s water resistant, has a luxurious 360-degree padding system that protects everything inside, and dual-foam shoulder pads. We love all the pockets and spaces it has for your different bits of pieces, and the way you can not only change the inside layout, but get easy access from the side. If you just have a tablet or a phone, you can get away with the 16L bag, but look to the 30L bag if you want to move consoles or big laptops.

Apple iPhone 14
Four new iPhone models have just landed. The iPhone 14 and the Plus have small leaps, while the Pro and Pro Max models have big leaps. For example., the lower two models see an 18% power improvement, but in the two top models it rises to 40% thanks to the A16 chip. Battery life has also been improved. The higher-end models get upgraded 48MP cameras. These are a lot better in low light, able to shoot at 4K even at 2x zoom, and benefit from new autofocus and action mode features. A truly great phone for gaming and content.
