Tekken is a serious fighters fighting series. It spent decades defining itself through perfectly balanced fighters, responsive controls, and deep strategic gameplay. Tekken is a 2.5D fighter, as you can step in and away from the screen to avoid attacks or position yourself for a move.
For Tekken 8, the developer wants to encourage players to be more aggressive and bring the fight to their opponent. The new Heat system allows you to access additional moves and properties when you’ve raised it high enough through aggressive play. You can also combo enemies into a longer juggle, ground-pounding them for epic damage.
We also like how the stages are now more interactive, with not just greater destruction, but as it breaks apart, it impacts the way the characters move. The levels look great, too, as do the 32 characters. Also it’s great you can map buttons to your favourite combos and moves, making it easier for newcomers to join in the fun. Tekken 8 features full offline and online multiplayer, of course.
