RIG Nacom Pro Compact
There are some great third-party controllers for the new consoles, like the RIG Nacon Pro for the Xbox. Perhaps its coolest feature is that it offers Dolby Atmos surround sound support to plugged in headsets. It’s also 15% smaller than the normal Xbox controller, making it easier to hold for kids. It’s wired, which does mean you get an instant response time, but it does need to be plugged into one of your console’s USB ports. At least it’s got a long, 3m cable. Unlike normal Xbox controllers, it has a rechargeable battery, too. Plus, there’s an app that allows you to customise all the buttons and the sensitivity of the sticks and triggers.
Asus Zenfone 8
There has been a move of late towards owning bigger phones, which isn’t so great when you have kid-sized hands. The new Asus Zenfone 8 takes the opposite approach. It goes compact. It only has a 5.9” screen; although it still offers sharp visuals and a gamer-friendly 120Hz refresh rate. Despite its size, it’s packed with features. The Qualcomm SM8350 Snapdragon 888 5G chipset is super fast. The camera is great, offering 4K video footage as well as 64MP wide and 12MP ultrawide shots. It’s got awesome, stereo speakers and a decent battery life, too. It’s even water resistant! Very impressive!
Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro
The Fitbit is cool, but if you want something that does more than just track your fitness, there are some much more advanced smartwatches out there. Take the Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro, for example. It’s got a really sleek design, a large and beautiful screen, and comfortable soft leather strap. You get up to 14-days of battery life out of it, too, and then it’s easy to charge wirelessly. The watch does a great drop tracking your steps and activities, and a decent job sending you notifications and information from your phone. The only real bummer is its reduced app support.
